This page is dedicated to the sons and daughters, brothers and sisters of former crewmen of the USS Barnstable County who have continued the tradition of serving their country in the United States Military.

Daughter of Al Dunn,  former member of the original commissioning crew. Alison's Naval career to date:
  • August 1999: Boot Camp at NTC Great Lakes, IL
  • Journalist "A" School - Fort Meade, MD
  • August 2000: Assigned to Armed Forces Radio & TV Services (AFRTS) Broadcast Center at March Air Reserve Base, Riverside, CA
  • January 2004: Assigned to Armed Forces Radio & TV Services (AFRTS) Broadcast Center at the USN Support Facility on Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.
  • September 2004: Honorably discharged from the Navy as JO2
Currently, Allison is enrolled at the University of Illinois working on a degree in broadcast journalism. Top of Page|Next|

Daughter of David Wittman, former member of the original commissioning crew. Currently, Cory is stationed aboard the USS BonHomme Richard (LHD-6) as a forecaster of the ship's Meteorological Dept.

Jeffrey Habeck ETSN Jeffrey Habeck Jr ETR3 (SS)

Son of Jeffrey Habeck Sr.
Jeffrey's Naval career to date:
  • Oct 2002: Graduated Boot Camp at NTC Great Lakes, IL
  • Dec 2002: Graduated top of his class, Sub School, Groton, CN
  • Jan 2003: Reported aboard USS Kentucky (SSBN-737)
  • Nov 2003: Awarded Dolphins
  • Nov 2004: Advanced to ETR3.
Currently, Jeffrey is still stationed aboard the USS Kentucky (SSBN-737). and has been awarded the National Defense, Global War on Terrorism Service and Good Conduct medals. In addition, Jeffrey was commissioned a "Kentucky Colonel" by the Govenor of Kentucky, Ernie Fletcher, for "contributions, to the community, state or nation".

Rest in Peace Sargent Kohl
26 year old Army Sergeant Adam Kohlhaas was the son of Henry Kohlhaas. Sergeant Kohl was on his 3rd tour in Iraq
and was killed when his vehicle hit an enemy Improvised Explosive Device (IED) while on mounted patrol in the city of Bayji.
