Closeup of the twin controllable-pitch props of USS Barnstable County (LST-1197) while she was in
drydock in San Juan, PR, February 1975 to replace the port prop. The ship's speed was controlled directly by the lee helmsman on the bridge
by increasing/decreasing the pitch of the prop blades via hydrolic pressure (PSI).
